The plant follows the same environ-
mental standards as its China facili-
ties. Giant Group President Young
Liu, noted that the factory had been
abandoned for two years and was
previously owned by an Indian
company producing ship ropes. Gi-
ant Group’s Vietnam plant includes
a mold design and development de-
partment, 3D printing technology,
and a dynamic frame testing labora-
tory, all focused on quality.
In 2023, Giant Group’s first
mass-produced bicycle in Vietnam
was completed, and it shipped to
the U.S. by March. In October
2023, Giant Group purchased an-
other 100,000 square meters of land
in the Singapore Industrial Park 3,
and their subsidiary, Dingmei, also
acquired land to build another fac-
tory. Other companies, such as Tek-
tro and Axman, have also bought
land in the Singapore Industrial
Park 3.
Giant Group’s Vietnam facil-
ity is focused on pre-production
processes, including tube cutting,
forming, laser cutting, automatic
welding, and powder coating. The
plant uses a Manufacturing Ex-
ecution System (MES) similar to
Gogoro’s management system. By
the end of 2024, Giant Group plans
to establish an e-bike assembly line
and further develop its bicycle and
e-bike production capabilities.
